Southwood Golf & Country Club Hunt Room Addition

Project Details: Parkwest Projects Ltd. acted as the General Contractor for an addition to the existing clubhouse at the Southwood Golf and Country Club in St. Norbert. The approximately 400 square foot addition extended out of the front of the clubhouse, adding additional space to what is referred to as the “Hunt Room,” which is a sectioned-off private/formal dining area.
Assiniboine Park Pavilion Restoration

Project Details: Parkwest Projects acted as the General Contractor of the Restoration Project for the Assiniboine Park Pavilion Pergola. The original pergola was built in the 1910’s and survived the fire that destroyed the Pavilion in 1929. When the new Pavilion was constructed, the pergola remained and has only seen one restoration since then. In 2020/2021 Parkwest was tasked with the removal of the pergola and its columns, followed by the reconstruction of these items to look identical to their previous form. We worked closely with the Heritage Conservation department of the City of Winnipeg to ensure all construction met the standards of the By-Law. The project was successfully completed to welcome visitors for the spring of 2021.
Red River Co-op Redonda Warehouse

Project Details: Parkwest Projects Ltd. was selected as the Construction Manager for the new construction of a 12,500 square foot warehouse and office facility for Redonda Co-op. The pre-engineered structure consists of a 6,000 square foot warehouse, 1,500 square foot retail area, and 1,100 square foot office space, and 3,600 square feet for tenant space. Parkwest actively worked with the client through design, budgeting and value-engineering through the pre-construction phases and are currently on-site for the buildings construction.
St. Adolphe Child Care Centre
Client: Rural Municipality of Ritchot
Location: St. Adolphe, Manitoba
Completion: February 2020
Project Details: Parkwest Projects acted as the General Contractor for the St. Adolphe Child Care Centre project. The project included converting an old auto mechanic shop and RV dealership into the now completed child care space. This 10,500 square foot renovation now has the capacity to provide child care services for up to 113 kids and 19 staff that will operate the facility.
Winnipeg River Heritage Museum

Project Details: Parkwest Projects is acting as the Construction Manager under a CCDC5B for the construction of the Winnipeg River Heritage Museum. The project involves demolition of the old museum facility destroyed by fire and the construction of two buildings interconnected by a raised wood platform along the shore of the Winnipeg River. One building will act as the museum offices, archives, storage and exhibit space. The other building is an exhibit building built around a ferry used for crossing the Winnipeg River prior to any bridges in the area. The Ferry was temporarily moved while the new foundations were constructed. The ferry was then moved into place and the building structure erected around it.
Red Lake Heritage Centre
Client: Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre
Location: Red Lake, Ontario

Project Details: Parkwest Projects was selected as the general contractor to complete the construction of the new Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre located in Red Lake, Ontario, a town located ~534 kilometers Northwest of Thunder Bay. The project included the installation of large glulam beams and the installation of a full glazing wall, resulting in a beautiful completed building. This new facility as described by the centre’s website is “hub for the region and is culturally and historically active and vibrant. It is more than a museum; it is a learning centre for everyone and a welcoming and interesting place for locals and visitors alike – it is a destination point and a source of community pride.”
UM Cycle
Client: University of Manitoba
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Completion: 2017
Project Details: Parkwest Projects was selected to convert a reclaimed shipping container into a state of the art bicycle repair centre. The shipping container was brought to our facility to allow us to construct many of its parts in a controlled environment, leading to superior quality control. Once shipped to site, the facility was placed amongst natural landscape, exterior working space, and meeting areas all built by Parkwest Projects. The container was strategically located in line with true North and features artwork by local Indigenous Artists.
Icelandic River Lodge
Client: Riverton-Bifrost Holdings
Location: Riverton, Manitoba
Completion: 2014
Project Details: Parkwest Projects Ltd. was the Construction Manager for the construction of a 2 storey addition and renovation to the Icelandic River Lodge. Parkwest was part of a project team that included Manitoba Housing, Riverton-Bifrost Holdings Inc., Acorn Consultants, and Synyshyn Architecture. The project was broken down into two phases in order to get construction under way before winter. Phase 1 is a 19 Suite Addition. Phase 2 will was a complete renovation of the existing facility. Parkwest worked closely with all parties during the pre-construction phase to obtain as much local pricing as possible.
